Returns and Refunds Policy

Returns

  •       For in store and online purchases, we accept returns up to 30 days after purchase.
  •       Returned items must be brought to the shop in a re-saleable condition (i.e. “like new”). We offer either a swap with another item of the same price or a voucher for that value, to be redeemed at the store within a year. 
  •       We require a proof of purchase (receipt or shipping slip) in order to process a return. If there is no proof of purchase, we will assess returns on a case-by-case basis. We cannot guarantee a return without proof of purchase.

Refunds

  •       We can only offer a full refund on an item purchased in store or online if it shows manufacturing defects (e.g. faulty printing or binding, or other imperfections that hinder reading).
  •       We cannot refund items showing normal shelf wear, or those that are damaged through mishandling after purchase.
  •       For postal orders, we can refund an item that shows obvious signs of in-transit damage. In this case, send us an e-mail (eastbristolbooks@gmail.com) with a photograph of the damaged item upon receipt of the item. 
  •       In order to process a refund, the faulty item needs to be brought to the shop up to 30 days after purchase, along with proof of purchase (receipt or shipping slip). If there is no proof of purchase, we will assess the situation on an ad hoc basis. We cannot guarantee a refund without proof of purchase.
  •       A missing or non-delivered parcel can be refunded or re-sent, after we have assessed the situation. If this is the case, please send us an e-mail with the details of the order, so we can track the shipment.
  •       An online order that we are unable to fulfill, either partially or completely, will be refunded automatically for the value of the missing item(s) .

Non-returnable/refundable items

  •       Vouchers and national book tokens
  •       Items that were on sale
  •       Signed books or otherwise personalised items
  •       Event tickets
